We like to keep it simple. Our pork operations follow suit. We raise heritage breed pigs, in pasture with no added hormones or antibiotics. Their daily feed of grain contains corn, soy, wheat and barley, augmented with daily foraging for roots, grubs, and acorns on the property.
Hudson Ranch has been raising pastured pigs for years, but only recently has started selling them to the public. At this time we are raising fifty pound roasting pigs and larger-sized market pigs. Our goal is to provide the local community with healthy hogs which were raised in a holistic way we feel we can brag about. We sell directly to restaurants, to individual customers, to the Fatted Calf and depending on our supply, at our stand at the Farmer’s Market. Our pigs are the happiest pigs around!
